HW-0.22-mini
After unpacking you will have to break the pcbs apart. be carefull not to bend the small part of the gyro pcbs.

Soldering the Accelerometer
The Lis3l accelerometer comes in a case with the contacts on the bottom side. You need hot-air tools to solder it.
Since it is hard to desolder when the board is populated completely, you may want to test it before that. If you have an old (HW-0.21 oder HW-0.22) FC, you can connect it to that board. The pictures below highlight the pads where the specific signals for testing can be connected
Multipin-parts
Once the acc has been tested successfully, you can continue with the other parts. Its helpful to start with the big ICs with many pins, since it will be hard to reach them later. Do not solder the air pressure sensor until the very end.
Twopin-parts
Continue with the smaller stuff, 0603 resistors and capacitors. Don't solder C55 yet, it will be hard to reach the parts of the air pressure sensor if it is soldered earlier.
Connectors
You can then solder the connectors. Be carefull with the pico-blade connectors not to create any short-circuits.
You can then do another test. use a laboratory power supply, set it to 5.5V and 100mA, and connect it to the output-pins where the PTH will be soldered later. The board should not consume much more than 100mA this way, I measured 60mA for mine. Check if all voltage regulators output the correct voltages (IC3 3.3V and IC4 5V).
Everything else
You can then solder everything else (except the gyro-breakouts and the air pressure sensor). For the large electrolytic capacitor C5, you will need to apply much heat, either with a powerful iron or by setting your iron to a higher temperature. I had to set my 60W iron to 450°C to heat the large copper traces on the board enough to make a connection.
You can then, apply power via a laboratory power supply to the battery-connector. The terminal in the middle of the connector is the positive one, both others are ground. Set your psu to 9V, 200mA. Again, I measured 60mA. You can then flash the ngos and verify that the lpc runs and all hardware (acc, gyro, adcs) is found.
Breakouts and air pressure sensor
You can then solder the gyro-breakouts. It is enough to solder the fice pads on the top side at first. You can then, again, power up your mini-ng and verify that the newly connected gyros are found. If they are, you can solder the other edges of the gyro-breakouts and the air pressure sensor and C55.
