Welcome to the Next Generation Open Source Multicopter

What's the NG?

This is a open source community project to build a modern autonomously flying Multicopter.

New PCBs in the UAVP-NG Shop: NGcon, NGusb & ADXRS610 are now available!

Attention

If you are planing to order the electronic parts, please look at the HW-0.22 Partlist quite often!
The parts, their availability and distributors may have beeen updated!

Nine HW-0.10 prototypes were flying in summer 2008. Since the 25c3 - The CCC Congress in Berlin twenty-five HW-0.20 prototypes were produced and were tested by our Beta-Testers. We received a lot of feedback and bug reports which we incooperated into the newer NGOS versions and into the next hardware revision called HW-0.21. Thirty final HW-0.21 prototypes were produced and tested in sommer 2009. We will did small changes in the print and design and incoperated them into HW-0.22. HW-0.22 was produced in bigger quantity in preparation of the first public release. At the 26c3 - this years CCC Congress in Berlin - we did a first public hardware release of HW-0.22. The HW-0.22 PCB are now available in our Shop.

Note

This is a community development project and no nice and shiny finished product!

Please be aware that the NG Multikopter Project and the old UAVP Project are fully independant projects with different developers and different philosophy. The NG has a new, very different software and hardware design!

Having more and more vistors from China we would like make a political statement here:
Fight to free Tibet! Free speech to everyone! Stop Internet censoring now!

For more information check out the new NG Board, the Features list and the News page. On the PlanetNG page you will find an aggregation of all known NG blogs and on the PlanetMC page you will find an aggregation of all known quadcopter blogs. On the pages Pictures and Videos you can find different multimedial impressions of our work, of the flights done and of some meetings. Be sure to check out the UserCopters page as well, where you will find pictures and specifications of already airborne NGs. In the Download section you will find all software releases. Be sure to read trough our new Documentation also. You can buy the needed PCB in our Shop.

Servo Attitude Compensation Demonstration on the 16.11.2009

Here the two servos are attached to the RC-Controller which receives attitude information from the flight control by NGPP - The NG Peripherial Protocol.

NGPP is a register based access protocol allowing direct memory access on the slave device similar to MODBUS. The RC-Controller does attitude compensation on two defined servo outputs of the five available ones.

Example of a NGPP access from the NGOS:

# show ngpp rcctrl
